Our name comes from the Latin colere, to cultivate: the root of both culture and cultivate. It is a belief as much as a name. That beautiful things should be grown, not extracted. That the hands that make a thing matter as much as the thing itself. COLĒRE works in harmony with skilled artisans, weaving natural fibres into pieces for the home and the wardrobe that are made slowly, fairly and entirely by hand.

We make in small batches, and no two pieces are exactly alike. Gentle variations in weave and tone are not flaws but signatures, the visible record of a human hand at work. Our pieces are made to be
kept, cared for, and softened by the years. This is the patina of authenticity.
We choose materials the earth can give gladly. Natural abaca fibre is among the most renewable and biodegradable in the world: lightweight, remarkably strong, and beautiful entirely as nature intended. No synthetic dyes, no chemical treatments. Only the warmth of the plant, the weave and the hand.
Every piece carries a tag with a QR code that leads to its story: how it is made, how to care for it, and the ethos behind it. We would rather show you the journey than ask you to take our word for it. Honest craft has nothing to hide.
